FUNDRAISING In the financial year ending 30th April 2007, THE CHILD CARE ACTION TRUST spent approximately £120,000 funding the cost of more than thirty children's attendance at STEP TOGETHER and now, with nearly forty children receiving Conductive Education at the Centre, the cost has increased to over £11,500 per calendar month. Whenever possible the Charity works with and supports both health and educational departments, yet it receives no funding from any government body. Trustees and parents and our volunteers care constantly fundraising to ensure that the work of the Charity can continue and it is only with this enthusiasm and commitment and with the goodwill and support from local businesses that we can ensure that the STEP TOGETHER Centres can continue helping disabled children in County Durham and the neighbouring Counties of Northumberland, Tyne & Wear, Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
